No less than six million inhabitants live in the metropolis of Miami, which belongs to the top ten largest urban areas of the United States. One of the major tourist centers in the US, many visit here for the warm climate, the sexiness of the city and its inhabitants, the fantastic beaches and the mix of American culture with Caribbean influences.

Because both the port of Miami and the nearby Fort Lauderdale are main departure and arrival ports for cruise ships, many cruise passengers spend a few days in Miami on a couple of days before or after their cruise, but Miami is also a huge location for European and South American tourists flying into either Miami or Fort Lauderdale.

The second hotel to explore is Sense Beach House at Ocean Drive. The rooms are classically furnished, and our balcony had sea views! You can also eat here at the restaurant on the ground floor, and on the roof, you will find the finest spot of Sense Beach House, as there is the swimming pool. If you want to escape from all the hustle and bustle of Ocean Drive, here’s is where to go.

Miami is famous for its white sandy beaches, but just further off the coast in that mega blue water of the Atlantic Ocean, you’ll find the world’s third largest barrier reef and the only one in North America. This marine area is called The Florida Straights and runs all the way from Miami to the Florida Keys, and even stops at the Dry Tortugas that is still beyond Key West.
