Trisha’s, or 57 Greek Street

One of our favorite’s is a true hideout, called Trisha’s or 57 Greek Street (literally the address). This small, underground bar was featured on the London episode of Anthony Bourdain’s The Layover, and is a former Italian drinking club located in Soho. It still keeps that feel to this day, and is predominantly filled with locals until the early hours of the morning!

Where to Stay in London During the Christmas Season

There are many options for places to stay in London during Christmas. Some popular options include hotels, vacation rentals, and bed and breakfasts. Some popular areas to stay in include central London, such as the West End and Westminster, as well as the trendy neighborhoods of Shoreditch and Camden.

Where you stay in London during this busy season will depend on what you want to see and do, but generally the areas that are listed above are in the middle of the action, with our favorite “slower” area being west of the city center in areas such as Notting Hill or Bayswater.

Using the London Underground (locally, they call it “The Tube”), you can access the entire city on one of the most sophisticated underground rail systems in the world, and help avoid the hassle of walking or driving (a near impossibility in London) between the places you wish to see.
