How to spend 3 days in Washington DC

Washington DC is the capital of the USA and one of the most iconic cities in the entire world. If you are within or planning for a trip to the United States, Washing DC should be one of the cities you consider visiting. In this article, I will share some of the best places you can visit or the activities you can do if you are planning for a 3-day stay in this city.

You can visit about 2 to 3 places each day, depending on your budget and the number of hours you would like to spend at each place.

View the White House

The White House (home of the U.S. president) is probably the most iconic building in the U.S. You can’t spend your three days in Washington DC without visiting the famous White House. It is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.

Visit the National Mall

After the White House, National Mall is the next most iconic and popular building in Washington DC. Within the National Mall, you will get to see museums and monuments for some of the most iconic figures in U.S. history. Lincoln Memorial is also found within this mall.

Take a Walk in the Capital

If you are new to this city, there are many exciting and cool things you will get to see by just walking on the streets. You can also go shopping in any of the famous shopping centers, including Spring Valley Shopping Center, Washington Square Shops, Mall Near Me: Crystal City Shops, and many more.

Visit the Tidal Basin

The tidal basin is one of the most popular spots in Washington DC. It is basically a man-made reservoir located between the Potomac River and the Washington Channel. It is a lovely place that you can go to and take nice photos.

Explorer the neighborhoods of Washington DC

Washington DC has several cool neighborhoods that are worth exploring while in this city. Some of my favorite neighborhoods of Washington DC include; Georgetown, Adams Morgan, Logan Circle, Navy Yard, Columbia Heights, and Northwest Washington.
